Hernan’s Scoop

Julien Laurens – “Hello Hernan, How are you finding Paris? And have you managed to assess what the club is requiring from you?”

Hernan Crespo – “Thank you for having me Julien. Paris is not to different to Modena. The place is beautiful as are the ladies. The cars are fast and the buzz around the places are vibrant and positive. hank you for having me Julien. Paris is not to different to Modena. The place is beautiful as are the ladies. The cars are fast and the buzz around the two places are vibrant and positive.”

“As for PSG, I have inherited a club that has been playing second best in France until last season’s league win. Monaco have been very dominant and will remain the team we must beat to have a chance to continue what Unai did last season. I have been very quick to rid the playing squad of players that I believed were not at the standard we would expect them to be, and with that we have worked quickly to bring in the right replacements to help push this team on a level.

We’ve brought three domestic lads back to France, to help promote a positive connection between the international team and the club. Kevin Gameiro from Atletico Madrid, who has played for PSG in the past. Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and Nkolo Kante from Chelsea. We also brought in exciting young player Manual Locatelli (who had found himself on the transfer list) from Chelsea and experienced forward Sergio Aguero from Man City. These guys will play a major part in bringing the brand of football I want to establish here at Paris.”

JL – “And what is that brand of football you plan to showcase?”

HC – “I plan to bring exciting attacking football, with responsible defending. It was what I learned in Italy. And it is what I believe will bring long term success to PSG. As the model here at PSG is not just the football on the pitch but the movement of the club with in the local and worldwide community.

We have set ourselves the achievable target of winning the league and Coup de France. Along with performing well in the Champions League, with the hope we reach the quarter finals. In achieving these targets we can then look to build and look at winning the Champions League in the next few seasons. But lets take this season one step at a time as this is the only way I know how to work.”

“Julien, Thank you for the coffee this morning. I have a training session to go and oversee. I’ll see you around and speak soon.”

JL – ” Thank you Hernan. And remember this little café near the stadium is the best for coffee in the city.”
